How to Make Your Own Gmail Auto Responder With Attachments
Here is a really simple way to attach a document to a gmail and response back automatically.
This is a different from the gmail vacation responder which does not allow you do attach documents.
You can use this for attaching all kinds of contracts, sign up forms, documents etc.
1. Open up your Gmail -> Settings -> Labs and enable the following two settings
Enable Create a Document
Enable Canned Responses
2. Now, just click on Documents. You will be switch to Google Docs and then Create or Upload your File
3. Go your Google Document and select “Share” and get the link to share. Copy that link.
4. Open up your new Canned Response and put in a title , message body and paste in the link for your documents
5. Now we just setup a filter for it. Go to settings -> Filter
and your email address to “To” field and click next
6. Check Send Canned Response and any other boxes you like. Click Create Filter
7. Your done!
The issue with this method is that there is no delay time. So to the user this look automatic.
